First, pick Class.
Hunters (HU) use mostly short-range weapons, like Sabers, Daggers, Swords, & Partisans. Since they're mostly in the front lines, Hunters both take and dish out the most damage, which allows themto use their Mag's Photon Blasts more often than other classes. HUmars and HUnewearls also have the capacity to use techniques, making this class ideal for those who want to experience all aspects of PSO.
Gun-weilding Rangers (RA) are probably the easiest class to play, since they can kill most regular enemies from a safe distance, and only need to worry about large hordes and bosses. The android RAcast and RAcaseal are valued in online play for their ability to both see and destroy traps at a distance. The RAmar and RAmarl lack this ability, but are capable of using techniques.
Forces (FO) are terrible in melee combat. Their class's exclusive weapons are weak, they can't use Armors and Shields, and they're notoriously frail. But they do get a ton of TP and can use powerful techniques early in the game. Their ability to use techniques that benefit the whole party, like Reverser, Resta, Shifta, and Deband, make them valuable members of online parties. But offline, they are the most difficult class to clear the game with.
Go HERE to see the rest. That's also where I got the info. from.
Next, you need to pick a name. But you NEED to have a good Section ID. What is a Section ID you ask? Well I'll go post part of the guide!
"Basically the section IDs are just that; they are a ID assigned
to your character when you create them, based on what characters
you use in their name's."
So the Section IDs give certain weapons.
Here's what they all are good at finding.
"BLUEFULL
Blue is best for finding partisan weapons.
GREENILL
Green is best for finding rifle weapons.
ORAN
Oran is best for finding dagger weapons.
PINKAL
Pink is best for finding cane weapons and technique disks
PURPLENUM
Purple is best at finding mechgun weapons.
REDRIA
Red is a all 'rounder ID, meaning it isn't made to be more suitable with
a certain class. Basically the chances of finding shields, items, and
armour is even. But the chances of finding the elusive red weapons is high.
These weapons are basically red (as the name suggests), and although they
look simple in design and special effect, are very powerful (especially
when grinded to max). Red is also best for finding Armor and Shields.
SKYLY
Sky is best at finding sword weapons.
VIRIDIA
Viridia is best at finding shotgun weapons (a.k.a. spreads)
WHITILL
White is best at finding slicer weapons.
YELLOWBOZE
Yellow is best at finding mesta. You have an even chance of finding other
stuff like with red. NOTE: People tend to over estimate on the
amount of mesta yellow finds. Yes, you do find more mesta than any other
ID, but not by much."
Now you need a name!
Use the section ID that is best for your class. Use this Section ID Calculator. Just type in the name in the top box, and in the middle box, it will show your Section ID. Pick the one that's best for your class.

With the info. way above, you should be able to figure out which ID is good for each Class. Like the Purplenum is good for Rangers because it gets guns. ^_^
Another thing, we do not use level-ups in the RPG! Also, we do not find rares all the time, so don't get rares very often. ^_^()
